Consecration & Origins
Consecrated on 30th May 1974 under the United Grand Lodge of England, our Lodge was established by pioneering Hampshire Freemasons. Over five decades of continuous regular meetings, we have preserved our ritual traditions while mentoring generations of members in self-improvement and community service.
Chilcombe Down House
Our regular meetings and festive boards are hosted at Chilcombe Down House, located in the peaceful countryside on the edge of Winchester. This beautiful and historic Masonic centre offers an inspiring setting for ceremonial work, excellent dining facilities, and ample parking for members and visiting Brethren.
Saturday Evening Meetings
We are currently the only Lodge in Winchester to gather on Saturday evenings. Meeting on the weekend provides an unhurried atmosphere where members can unwind from the working week, fully participate in ceremonial ritual, and savour our festive board fellowship without weekday pressures.
Warm & Diverse Fellowship
Our Lodge brings together men from diverse professions, ages, and backgrounds, all united by a commitment to integrity, friendship, respect, and charity. We warmly welcome visiting Masons from across the Province of Hampshire & Isle of Wight, and prospective candidates eager to discover the craft.
